Volunteer With Us
If you are looking for a meaningful way to make a difference, consider joining the volunteer team at Chicago Hope and Palliative Healthcare, Inc. We believe everyone has something unique to offer, whether it’s time, skills, or simply a listening ear. Your contribution can provide comfort and companionship to patients facing life-limiting illnesses and support to their families during difficult times.
There are several ways you can volunteer:
- Patient Care Volunteers – Spend time with patients, offer companionship, provide respite for caregivers, run errands, or assist with light household tasks. Your presence can bring warmth and reassurance to those in need.
- Interpreter Volunteers – Help bridge the communication gap between patients, families, and healthcare providers by offering translation services during visits and phone calls.
- Grief Support Volunteer – Assist in planning bereavement activities, including memorial services and family gatherings. You may also offer emotional support through phone calls, check-ins, and sympathy cards.
- Community Outreach Volunteers – Represent Chicago Hope and Palliative Healthcare, Inc. at health fairs, conferences, and awareness events to educate the public about hospice and palliative care services
- Support Volunteers – Help behind the scenes with administrative and clerical tasks, ensuring our caregiving team can focus on providing the best care possible.
Whatever your skills or interests, we have a volunteer opportunity for you. Our team provides thorough training and ongoing support to ensure you feel confident in your role. There is no cost for training, and sessions are scheduled throughout the year to accommodate volunteers.
